About Federal
Federal Ammunition is a division of Vista Outdoor, headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota. Founded in 1922, Federal is one of the largest ammunition manufacturers in the United States and produces rounds across every major category — handgun, rifle, rimfire, and shotshell. Federal also operates the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant under contract with the US military, making them one of the few companies that manufactures both commercial and military ammunition at scale.
