What is IronScout?
IronScout is an ammunition pricing intelligence platform. It helps you compare ammo prices across multiple retailers, track price changes over time, and set alerts for products you care about.
Is IronScout free to use?
IronScout offers a free tier that includes basic search, up to 3 price alerts, and 30-day price history. A Premium tier is available with expanded limits, longer history, and real-time notifications.
Do I need an account to search?
You can browse caliber pages and deals without an account. To use search, set alerts, or save preferences, you need to create a free account.
Search & Results
How does IronScout search work?
IronScout uses intent-aware search to understand what you are looking for. It considers use case (range, defense, match) and caliber context to rank results by relevance, not just price.
Where does the pricing data come from?
Pricing data is ingested continuously from retailer feeds across trusted online ammunition dealers. Every listing is validated and normalized before it reaches you. Listings that fail validation are quarantined rather than shown with bad data.
How often are prices updated?
Prices are updated continuously as retailer feeds are processed. When a price changes or a product restocks, IronScout picks it up automatically.
Alerts & Monitoring
How do price alerts work?
When you save a product or set up an alert, IronScout monitors it in the background. You are notified when something meaningful changes, such as a price drop or restock.
How many alerts can I create?
Free accounts can create up to 3 alerts. Premium accounts have unlimited alerts with real-time notification delivery.
Account & Privacy
What personal data does IronScout collect?
IronScout collects only what is necessary to provide the service: email for authentication, optional caliber preferences for personalization, and alert settings. IronScout does not track firearms, serial numbers, quantities, or usage. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can request account deletion from your account settings. There is a 14-day cooling-off period before permanent deletion, during which you can cancel the request.

Which retailers are included?
IronScout tracks pricing from a growing list of trusted online ammunition retailers. You can browse the current list on the Retailers page. Only eligible, verified retailers appear in results.
Does IronScout sell ammunition?
No. IronScout is a pricing intelligence platform, not a retailer. When you find a product, you are directed to the retailer to complete your purchase.
I am a retailer. How do I get listed?
Visit the Retailers page and submit an inquiry through the retailer interest form. Our team will review your submission and follow up.
