About Speer
Speer is a division of Vista Outdoor, manufactured in Lewiston, Idaho alongside sister company CCI. Founded in 1943, Speer is best known for the Gold Dot — the most widely issued law enforcement handgun ammunition in the United States. The Gold Dot's electrochemically bonded core prevents jacket-core separation, which is its key differentiator against competitors like Federal HST and Hornady Critical Duty.
