About Magtech

Magtech is manufactured by CBC (Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos) in São Paulo, Brazil. CBC is one of the largest ammunition manufacturers in the world, also producing under the Sellier & Bellot brand (CBC acquired S&B in 2009). Magtech is positioned as their budget-to-mid-tier brand for the US market, particularly strong in handgun calibers. Their 9mm FMJ is consistently one of the cheapest brass-cased options available and is widely stocked by US retailers.

Magtech's 9mm FMJ typically runs $0.18–0.26/rd — competitive with Federal AE, Blazer Brass, and Winchester White Box. Their .38 Special range loads are especially popular due to limited domestic competition in that caliber. The brass is reloadable and decent quality, though slightly less consistent than Federal or S&B for precision reloading.
