Ammo Market Index

The ammo market, in two numbers.

One number for what ammunition costs, one for how much stress is in the market — both built from the same daily record of tracked online-retailer prices. Descriptive readings of observed conditions, never forecasts or advice.

DUMP

Daily Unified Market Print

The price index is warming up — tracked data has not cleared the publication threshold for this build. The number returns with the next daily rebuild.

LAFF

Live Ammo Fear Factor

The stress reading is warming up. LAFF publishes only when all three of its signals — price dispersion, in-stock availability, and index volatility — clear their thresholds; until then it shows nothing rather than a partial number.

About these numbers: DUMPis a base-100 fixed-basket ammunition price index (9mm, 5.56/.223, .45 ACP, .22 LR, .308/7.62); each day’s first print is frozen and only publishes when every basket caliber clears its coverage floor. LAFF is a composite 0–100 reading of market stress built from cross-retailer price dispersion, tracked in-stock availability, and index volatility. Both report observed conditions only — no recommendations, no verdicts, no forecasts. See the Ammo Price Index for per-caliber charts and the methodology.
